Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!

Now recently what happened was that there were large scale floods in Bangladesh and due to the floods 3 million people had to face displacement, the situation is very bad.

floods

It is being told that according to two or many estimates four people have died in Bangladesh and many articles have been published about it.

Now suddenly what happens in Bangladesh, the reason for this flood is held to be an action of India, here you will see that the social media of Bangladesh is blaming India for causing floods and the situation had become so bad.

Bangladeshi Media made the cartoon !

Many Bangladeshi cartoonists and some local media outlets also started publishing such reports that India suddenly released a lot of water from its dam, due to which there is a flood in Bangladesh, these people started spreading such false news and even blamed the government.

Yes, the Indian government had to officially say that the praise in Bangladesh has no relation to any Indian dam. Here you will be able to see that the government is not correct on reports that India dam caused Bangladesh floods.

Dam Allegation

Now, I want to show you a glimpse of social media that at what level India is being blamed in Bangladesh. Now, here you will be able to see that this type of tweets are common on Bangladesh’s social media.

Basically, India is being blamed from every side and many people are also saying here that Sheikh Hasina has told the Indian government to do all this.

India in Bangladesh

Since this type of misinformation was spreading rapidly in Bangladesh, the Indian government had to intervene and it is a good thing that it is very important to do this. Now, I will tell you where in Bangladesh these floods have come and how these people are putting the blame on India.

Which dam are they talking about? Now, here you will be able to note that this is our state, Tripura.

Tripura has a very big border with Bangladesh and there is a dam in Tripura which has stopped floods in Bangladesh many times for a very long time. You will be see the dam, Damboo Dam.

Flood in Bangladesh

You will find this dam on the Gomti River and if you look over the years, you can understand yourself that the Gomti River passes through India and goes to Bangladesh and then provides water to important areas like Fenni and Chittagong, which are urban areas of Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Social Media

Sometimes, when it rains or the flow of water increases, these areas can get flooded. If you look at the last several years, since India has built these dams here, the frequency of floods in Bangladesh has reduced a lot.

But in this particular case, it is clear that there must have been heavy rain at some place suddenly or extra water must have come from some other tributary and suddenly floods were seen in these areas and since then, see this thing in Bangladesh.

India Rejects the Blame !

There is a lot of anger over the fact that India is still giving refuge to Sheikh Hasina. Sheikh Hasina is safe in India. There are many political parties in Bangladesh regarding this, they have blamed India.

For example, if we look at BNP, which is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party, they have started saying openly that India should give extra attention to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Extradition Treaty between India and Bangladesh !

They have said here that since an extradition treaty exists between India and Bangladesh, then under that India is legally bound to send Sheikh Hasina back to Bangladesh so that whatever trial or case is to be conducted in it, it can proceed.

But look at the media of Bangladesh, the people of Bangladesh, their political parties forget one thing that there is definitely an extradition treaty between India and Bangladesh.

This treaty was signed in 2013, but some changes were made in this treaty in the year 2016. These changes are very important. It is written in these changes that suppose tomorrow Bangladesh says that a If a case has to be filed against a political figure who is in your country, then in that case both Bangladesh and India can refuse that they will not send this political figure to your country.

floods

Right now you can also say that Bangladesh does not have proper information about this that there is a treaty between India and Bangladesh, in which there is a special clause under which India can openly tell Bangladesh that Sheikh Hasina will stay here for now.

There is no legal foundation on us that we have to send her back to Bangladesh. The people of Bangladesh are going to blame India a lot for the developments that are happening.

Their economy is going to go down, exports are going to go down and I will tell you one thing, look, the main backbone of Bangladesh’s exports was their textile exports.

Here, these people sew clothes in this way and make T-shirts for big brands. Often, a T-shirt that costs Rs. 56,000 is sold in Europe or any other country, and it is stitched in Bangladesh for Rs. 600.

Global fashion Brand

So, these global fashion brands that had given contracts in Bangladesh have cancelled their contracts, cut them because whatever they have seen in Bangladesh, they have clearly understood one thing that there is political instability here.

You never know if their workers will suddenly go on strike tomorrow or if some issue arises here. What will happen to our orders?

We may lose millions upon billions in business. So, global fashion brands are cutting themselves off from Bangladesh. For some time, I would say that they are shifting to India.

You will see that India’s textile industry is suddenly getting a lot of jobs, people are getting hired, business is growing continuously.

You will see that India’s textile stocks have also run up a lot in the last few days. So, there is no proper awareness about this in Bangladesh. Slowly, these people will understand what has happened to them, where are their exports, why is their currency falling?

Shifting Export of textiles

When they will gradually come to know about all these things, then obviously they will blame India more.

So, in the future, there may be a problem in improving people to people relations because when such issues keep coming up, then the image of one country gets tarnished to a great extent in the other country.

See, there will be many developments related to this topic. What answer does the Indian government give to BNP about this textile issue?

Will the Bangladesh government say anything about it or not? She will say that many details have just come out and some updates are coming, I will bring an update you later.
